Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

adidas GBS is committed to delivering exceptional services in Finance and Accounting. We are establishing a new GBS center aimed at supporting the LAM countries across various processes.

The Credit and Collections team is tasked with executing daily operations such as Dunning and Collection, Dispute Management, and Credit Management. This team ensures that all activities are performed promptly and meet the required quality standards. Additionally, the team engages in projects that involve process standardization, tool implementation, and other special initiatives. As a general functional expert, the manager is responsible for overseeing processes and the delivery of services through their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team management, including coaching, training, motivation, and performance evaluation, while fostering team development.
  • Manage credit, customer billing, cash applications, collections, and dispute management processes, along with customer and price data management.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the O2C team by applying Lean principles and nurturing team members' growth.
  • Lead the project management of technology solution implementations.
  • Maintain customer relationships, addressing issues and conducting root cause analyses.
  • Support requests from partner Finance departments and other business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate reviews of customer accounts receivable with sales and finance teams.
  • Act as the escalation point for process-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide the O2C GPO with recommendations for technology and process enhancements.
  • Manage process improvement projects focused on O2C.
  • Establish and uphold robust financial controls over the work conducted.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Comprehensive understanding of Order to Cash functions.

· Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English and Spanish within a business context.

· Capable of working independently.

· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.

· Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a high degree of customer orientation; adept at navigating complex organizations and connecting with various functions.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

· Hands-on approach to tasks.

· Curious and growth-oriented mindset; eager to learn and explore topics beyond comfort zones.

· Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player with robust stakeholder management abilities.

· Proven experience in team management.


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in End-to-End processes specifically related to Credit and Collections.
  • Experience in process improvement and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a medium-sized team.
  • Experience in a Shared Service environment is advantageous.
