Regional Director for Sustainable Development in Latin America and the Caribbean

We are seeking an experienced executive leader to join IDB Invest as Managing Director for the Andean Group.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful business development in the region, with a deep understanding of the local market and strong relationships with key stakeholders.
The Managing Director will be responsible for driving business growth and achieving impact targets in the Andean Group, working closely with the Chief Regions Officer and Country Representatives.
- Maintain relationships with governments and private sector clients, identifying opportunities for business development and growth.
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to Country Representatives, supporting their tactical and operational responsibilities.
- Oversee business performance from a regional perspective, working closely with the Delivery Units to achieve impact and business targets.
- Shape country strategies from a private sector perspective, working closely with Country Representatives to define priorities and strategies.
- Identify and promote synergies with IDB and IDB Lab, managing operational, human, capital, and budgetary resources at the unit level.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience as a banker or executive leader, with a proven business track record in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, business administration, or law.
- Proficiency in English and one of the Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese).
