Managing Director for the Andean Group

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Managing Director for the Andean Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the region, while ensuring alignment with our organization's strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain strong relationships with governments and private sector clients to identify business opportunities and drive growth.
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to Country Representatives, ensuring effective implementation of regional strategies.
- Oversee business performance from a regional perspective, working closely with Delivery Units to originate, structure, and supervise transactions.
- Collaborate with Country Representatives to shape country strategies from a private sector perspective, defining priorities and establishing upstream work.
- Identify and promote synergies with IDB and IDB Lab, driving business growth and development.
- Manage operational, human, capital, and budgetary resources at the unit level, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Coordinate with IDB and IDB Lab counterparts to promote synergies and drive business growth.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience as a banker with a proven business track record.
- Proven regional expertise and strong relationships with the market and clients in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Master's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or another relevant field.
- Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is required.
- No citizenship requirements.
- No consanguinity with IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab employees.
We offer a competitive remuneration package that reflects the value and expertise of our candidates. This comprehensive package includes attractive cash compensation, performance-based variable pay, robust insurance coverage, and a pension plan. We offer a staff contract, initially 36 months, renewable upon mutual agreement.
