We are currently seeking a qualified Chief of Party candidate for an anticipated new activity in Colombia. The position is contingent upon award to FHI 360, subject to USAID approval.

The Director of Strategic Partnerships will provide overall vision, leadership, and technical direction for the program, ensuring an integrated approach among different components and stakeholders. S/he will serve as the project's main point of contact for USAID/Colombia, local partners, and other program stakeholders.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead the project team and oversee technical implementation, ensuring high-quality results on time and on budget. S/he will manage personnel, establish monitoring mechanisms, and facilitate project learning and adaptive management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the project team and serve as the primary point of contact with USAID regarding day-to-day activity implementation and management matters.
  2. Oversee technical implementation and ensure project activities meet high technical standards and are delivered on time and on budget.
  3. Manage and supervise personnel provided under the award, including direct supervision of senior management team members.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for information on progress and current status of all activities under the award.
  5. Establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure regular reporting and that project objectives are met.
  6. Manage the preparation and presentation of work plans, M&E plans, and reports, ensuring quality deliverables.
  7. Facilitate ongoing project learning and adaptive management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's degree in a directly relevant field from an accredited university; master's degree preferred.
  2. At least 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years of successfully managing complex international programs, preferably those funded by USAID and conducted in Colombia or similar contexts across Latin America.
  3. Prior experience as a Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, or Senior Program Director preferred.
  4. Programming experience in governance, government, conflict mitigation, public financial management, civil society strengthening, or related areas.
  5. Demonstrated success across project management responsibilities, including strategic planning, work planning, budgeting, financial management, and relationship building.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and relocation assistance.
