About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Advisor for Inclusive Economic Development in Latin America. As a key member of our regional team, you will play a critical role in driving systemic change across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement strategies to address systemic problems in trade and entrepreneurship across Latin America, working closely with internal teams and external clients.
  • Lead advisory and training services for Swisscontact projects and external clients, providing expert guidance on fostering inclusive growth and delivering research that informs project design.
  • Build real capabilities in partners and teams, ensuring they can independently run with initiatives and achieve concrete improvements.
  • Manage consulting projects that deliver tangible results, aligning with both local context and broader goals.
  • Conduct and oversee research initiatives that inform and refine strategies for Swisscontact and its clients, driving decision-making and project design.
Requirements
  • At least 7+ years of experience working on economic development initiatives, with a strong background in the market systems development (MSD) approach.
  • Advanced degree in economics, international development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Latin America and occasionally globally.
