About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Advisor Inclusive Economic Development in Latin America. This is a unique opportunity to drive systemic change across the region and contribute to the growth of inclusive economies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement strategies to address systemic problems in trade and entrepreneurship across Latin America.
  • Lead advisory and training services for Swisscontact projects and external clients, providing expert guidance on how to foster inclusive growth.
  • Build real capabilities in partners and teams, ensuring they can independently run with initiatives.
  • Manage consulting projects that deliver concrete improvements, ensuring they succeed and fit with both the local context and our broader goals.
  • Conduct and oversee research initiatives that inform and refine strategies for Swisscontact and its clients.
Requirements
  • At least 7+ years of experience working on economic development initiatives, with a focus on the market systems development (MSD) approach.
  • Relevant advanced degree in economics, international development, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Latin America and occasionally globally.
