About the Role:
The Consultant, Field Technology III provides field technical support to customers by serving as the primary technical interface for TD SYNNEX products, solutions, and services. Performs a variety of product, and technical support functions which include research and resolution of pre-sales technical and process related issues. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned.
What You'll Do:
- Provides pre-sales resolution of all technical and process related issues, using appropriate escalation points when necessary.
- Consults with customers and technology group to clarify and/or resolve problems, evaluate operational and performance requirements.
- Consults with customers concerning pre-sales design, development and maintenance of products/services.
- Assists sales channel, field teams and customers with pre-sales technical solutions.
- Responsible for knowledge transfer of advanced technical theory to target audiences.
- Communicates complex information and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively to target audiences.
- Participates in products, solutions or services training to maintain technical knowledge, active certification and competence.
- Assists in determining the feasibility of proposal, conferring with customers and technology group to clarify and/or resolve problem.
- Consults on advanced configurations on converged solutions.
- "Sells best of breed" Solutions that include TD SYNNEX services Creates, presents, and executes strategies.

- Work is checked through consultation and agreement with others and only informally from direct supervisor.
- Might supervise 1 - 2 individuals who provide tactical / technical support.
- Serves as adviser to management and external spokesperson for the organization on major technical initiatives.
- Actions guide and impact the successful completion of major projects. May function as a project leader.
- Effects of erroneous decisions are long-lasting, require the expenditure of extensive additional resources and will result in the organization's failure to meet objectives.
Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions:
- 10+ years with bachelor's or equivalent combination of formal education and directly
- related experience.
- 8+ years with master's degree
- Education and Certification(s):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education
- May be required to travel 20% to 30% of the time
- Field based Certification:
- 3-4 brands or advanced technical certifications in 1-2 brands.
