- This position is located in the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC). The Associate Liaison Officer at this level assists the Senior Political Affairs Officer in work related to the SRSG role and the mission's mandate. S/he liaises with different units within UNVMC, host country stakeholders, and other multilateral organizations on peacekeeping, crisis management, conflict prevention, and mediation matters. S/he maintains regular contacts at the working level with various offices of the Government involved, the United Nations Secretariat, various UN agencies, NGOs, and diplomatic missions.
