Spanish Localization Specialist

The Localization Specialist plays an important role in developing and shaping the HubSpot voice and style in Spanish to ensure it's clear, accessible, and culturally relevant for HubSpot customers and partners.
Challenge
You'll work with our Localization team, Spanish-speaking colleagues, customers, partners, external translators, and editors to build and improve our Spanish translations, terminology database, style guide, translation memories, and overall Spanish localization processes.
Responsibilities
- Translate projects as required
- Review translated content from agencies and partners
- Review machinetranslated content
- Review native content created internally or from agencies and partners
- Oversee the endtoend execution of Localization projects, from preparation of instructions to LQA and QA
- Organize the individual workload and timelines to meet project deadlines
- Assist the Localization Project Managers in scoping and planning projects
- Ensure the end quality of deliverables by performing incontext QA and implementing necessary edits
- Help manage the relationship with stakeholders (Marketing, Support, Sales, Services)
- Serve as backup point of contact for linguistic decisions related to Spanish content
Requirements:
- Be a native Spanish speaker (preferably a Latin American variant)
- Be fluent in English
- At least 2 years of professional translation and review/editing experience
- Extensive experience using CAT tools (preferably memoQ)
- Experience using TMS and project management tools (preferably Jira)
- A degree in translation or a relevant higher education degree
- Experience translating marketing and technologyrelated content
- Some experience working with creative tools (preferably Adobe Suite)
- Experience developing and managing termbases and translation memories
