Job Summary
This role will support our Community & Belonging (C&B) team and its initiatives.

The C&B team's objective is to advance a thriving business where our people and communities feel they are safe, they belong, and they matter.

We do this through the efforts of our three pillars of Diversity Inclusion & Belonging (DIB), Wellbeing, and Community Impact.

In 2020, we launched local and regional WeAreEquinix teams whose aim is to create and promote purpose, belonging, service, sustainability, and fun for their locations across the world.


We're looking for someone to help Equinix build a center of excellence for employee engagement across our Community & Belonging (C&B) team and its initiatives and to build in-region support for our WeAreEquinix teams and volunteer leaders.

They will be tasked with creating a more coordinated experience for employees and will work across all 3 pillars of C&B but will have a focus on the pillar of
DIB.

This role will also have a regional focus of the Americas (AMER) to provide targeted and localized support to our WeAreEquinix volunteer leaders in region; ultimately embedding C&B further into the organization.

Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise

  • Identify opportunities for improvement within employee engagement
  • Create best practices and new ways of working to better serve employees and WRE volunteer leaders
  • Incorporate updates to WeAreEquinix and pillar playbooks
  • Act as coach to local WeAreEquinix leaders and provide intime support
  • Inform employee engagement and pillar strategies
Employee Engagement Tool & Resource Lead

  • Manage tools leveraged across employee engagement, examples: Smartsheets, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite of tools, etc
  • Act as escalation point for tools & resources
Employee Listening

  • Share employee sentiment and challenges with peers and key stakeholders
Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate and navigate within a matrixed organization and team
  • Triage employee & volunteer needs, and bring in appropriate resources
  • Manage WRE volunteer leader contact list in region
  • Create & manage resource repository
  • Identify opportunities for WRE leaders and pillars to partner together and with others
Communications

  • Responsible for multiple and broad communication responsibilities, including delivering monthly local WRE budget updates, making Hub Site updates, delivering pillar/initiative specific communications, managing the WRE Teams site, and asneeded comms by region/pillar
  • Act as first point of contact for employees with
    DIB inquiries/requests
  • Act as point of contact for WRE volunteer leaders in region
  • Partner with C&B comms to share employee & volunteer leader stories
Planning

  • Support WeAreEquinix annual planning and budgeting efforts in region
  • Manage local WRE calendar of events by region
  • Host midyear checkin with WRE local leaders in region to check on progress against plans & budget
Global Pillar Initiative Program Delivery (Days of Understanding, Wellbeing Month, Impact Month)

  • Acts as point of contact for employees and volunteer leaders
  • Partners with employee engagement peers to share and understand initiative resources, expectations & deadlines
  • Delivers comms within region to volunteer leaders
  • Manages regional calendar of events and facilitator/contact lists
  • Partners with crossfunctional partners as needed, i.e., IT, Corporate Real Estate (CRE), etc
Regional WeAreEquinix Governance

  • Deliver and followup on action items as needed from quarterly regional WeAreEquinix Council meetings
