About Your Business Area/Department:
As part of the Risk & Compliance Office, the Business Resilience Office at Amadeus works with teams across the entire organization to ensure that the company has the right processes and procedures in place to face major disruptive events. We work with teams across the entire organization (all teams across all continents) to anticipate, prepare, respond and adapt to change and disruptions.
Summary of the role:
Reporting to a Senior Manager in the Global Risk and Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our teams are prepared for any contingency. You will be key in coordinating, assessing and developing crisis and business continuity planning strategies globally as well as supporting our Americas function directly.
This position would suit someone with an equal love of travel, technology, overcoming challenges and the ability to multi-task. The successful applicant has to be a strong team player, able to work autonomously, with great people skills and a focused mindset.
In this role you’ll:
• Assume management responsibility for Business Contingency planning efforts with a major focus on assuring the adequacy of business unit contingency plans for critical business areas, functions and applications.
• To assure, through the appropriate support and guidance that Amadeus Organizations included under the scope of the Resilience Program are prepared to implement and maintaining their Business Continuity Management plans.
• Work with business units to enhance contingency plans, mitigating the effect of major disruption, either a facility, technology or application failure or problem.
• Participate in appropriate business unit and development planning meetings and activities. Facilitate timely identification, escalation, resolution, and follow-up for all outstanding issues.
• Assist the department in developing and maintaining comprehensive Business Continuity methodology (including Templates, Guidelines, Policies, etc.) and tools (implementation of Business Continuity Management tool and Emergency Notification Systems).
• Ensure the department continues to formalize and standardize the business planning process, including forecasting and tracking mechanisms.
• Manage strategic Risk Assessment processes and other acquisitions in coordination with the Amadeus Director of Risk.
• Lead senior leadership through interviews, compiling and analyzing responses to identify key risk areas for the business. Identify key risk owners and action plans, monitoring progress against the risks.
• Perform departmental administrative activities, including staff meeting attendance, monthly status reporting, budgeting, strategic planning, expense processing, documentation, and other activities, as assigned, in a timely manner.
• Provide Business Continuity Planning documentation and training to all employees having a need to understand the Business Continuity Planning process.
