Our mission is to prepare, respond, and adapt to changes and disruptions globally.
Role Overview:
In this position, reporting to a Senior Manager within the Global Risk and Compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our teams are equipped to handle any emergencies. You will be instrumental in coordinating, evaluating, and developing global crisis and business continuity strategies while directly supporting our operations in the Americas.
This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for travel, technology, and overcoming challenges, coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, capable of working independently, possessing excellent interpersonal skills, and maintaining a focused approach.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of Business Continuity planning initiatives, ensuring that contingency plans for critical business functions and applications are adequate.
- Provide support and guidance to ensure that Amadeus teams involved in the Resilience Program are prepared to implement and sustain their Business Continuity Management plans.
- Collaborate with business units to enhance contingency strategies, minimizing the impact of significant disruptions, whether due to facility, technology, or application failures.
- Engage in relevant business unit and development planning meetings, facilitating the timely identification, escalation, resolution, and follow-up of outstanding issues.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive Business Continuity methodologies, including templates, guidelines, and policies.
- Support the formalization and standardization of the business planning process, including forecasting and tracking mechanisms.
- Manage strategic Risk Assessment processes in coordination with the Director of Risk.
- Lead discussions with senior leadership to compile and analyze responses, identifying key risk areas and monitoring progress against action plans.
- Perform administrative tasks, including attending staff meetings, monthly reporting, budgeting, and documentation, ensuring timely completion.
- Deliver Business Continuity Planning training and documentation to employees who need to understand the process.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- University degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or field.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages, particularly Spanish, is advantageous.
- Strong people-management skills, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness are essential.
- A collaborative team player accustomed to working in a diverse cultural environment.
