The Business Resilience Office at Amadeus operates within the Risk & Compliance sector, collaborating with teams globally to ensure the organization is equipped with the necessary protocols to navigate significant disruptive incidents. Our mission is to proactively prepare, respond, and adapt to changes and interruptions across all divisions and regions.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, reporting to a Senior Manager within the Global Risk and Compliance team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our teams are ready for any unforeseen events. Your responsibilities will include coordinating, evaluating, and developing strategies for crisis management and business continuity planning on a global scale, while also directly supporting our Americas operations.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys travel, technology, and overcoming challenges, coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator, capable of working independently, possessing excellent interpersonal skills, and maintaining a focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of Business Continuity planning initiatives, ensuring the adequacy of contingency plans for critical business functions and applications.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure that Amadeus entities involved in the Resilience Program are equipped to implement and maintain their Business Continuity Management plans.
  • Collaborate with business units to refine contingency strategies, minimizing the impact of significant disruptions, whether due to facility, technology, or application failures.
  • Engage in relevant business unit and development planning discussions, facilitating the timely identification, escalation, resolution, and follow-up of outstanding issues.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive Business Continuity methodologies, including templates, guidelines, and policies, as well as tools for implementation.
  • Ensure the formalization and standardization of the business planning process, including forecasting and tracking mechanisms.
  • Manage strategic Risk Assessment processes in collaboration with the Amadeus Director of Risk.
  • Lead senior leadership interviews, compiling and analyzing feedback to identify key risk areas and monitoring progress against established action plans.
  • Conduct departmental administrative tasks, including meeting attendance, status reporting, budgeting, and documentation.
  • Deliver Business Continuity Planning training and documentation to all employees who need to understand the process.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • University degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or field.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and other tools).
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages, particularly Spanish, is advantageous.
  • Strong people-management skills, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness are essential.
  • A collaborative team player accustomed to working in a diverse cultural environment.
