Role
Our Customer Solutions Engineer Lead is responsible for delivering critical technical partnership for our customers and sales teams and owns the integration of Factiva Analytics and Newswires API projects for our customer. The CSE Lead will ensure that Dow Jones drives the technical integration for Dow Jones’ prospects, customers and partners, who range from cutting-edge startups and incubators to the world’s most respected corporations. In addition to working with customers, the CSE Lead will work with the Customer Solution Engineers team and the Product team to define best practices and architecture patterns relevant to customers' needs and incorporates trending technologies and techniques into the proposed solutions. They will be responsible for ensuring this is documented and shared with key colleagues and portals.
Responsibilities
Delivery Lead
Work with Regional Sales Heads to understand and exploit integration possibilities with Dow Jones data and services.Oversee the Factiva Analytics integration projects, working with the Sales and Product teams to monitor and allocate resources accordingly.
Design solutions and implementation guidance to be used as the “best practice” model for the CSE team
Train the internal Customer Solution Engineers on our Factica Analytics products, sharing best practices, model designs etc. for consistent knowledge transfer across all regions.
Serve as escalation point for Factiva Analytics and Newswire APIs integration issues
Report weekly to the Head of Integration and Implementation on key trends, projects and deliverables
Serve as the key liaison point for the Product Team, providing feedback on emerging requirements for Roadmap, themes and customer technology trends
Collate and share feedback for the Developer Portal, collaborating with Product to identify and deliver improvements
Delivery Support
Work closely with Sales Leads on High Value customer opportunities, ensuring best fit for use case.Determine technical and business requirements from customers and propose technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
Demonstrate solutions that meet the customers’ business requirements and address any technical and product questions during the sales cycle.
Share best practices, model designs etc. with prospects and customers for both technical development and in support of customer’s internal approvals processes
Stay aware of emerging technologies and techniques that can be beneficial to the role and team.
Skills & Experience Required:
More than 8 years prior work in a customer-facing customer engineering role with a minimum of 3 years experience in a management / lead role, ideally within an engineering disciplineSoftware development experience using Agile development practices.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python and NodeJS languages.
Demonstrated experience building and leading technical product demonstrations that include APIs.
Business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills to assist with customer requirements
Experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Highly Desired:
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQueryStrong coding skills in any modern programming language.
Experience working with Cloud services for data ingestion, processing and storage.
Understanding of Machine Learning techniques, specifically, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining.
Experience and familiarity with our products and lines of business including Factiva, Risk & Compliance, Newswires, etc…
Language skills, preferably Spanish, highly desired
