Reporting to the Head of Risk Operations within the Risk Chief Operating Office, this senior business manager role responsibilities is key to achieving success and providing direct support to the Risk Senior Leadership team.

You’ll play a key role, responsible for developing, leading, and executing a forward-looking well-structured people & communications strategy and 12-month plan for the Risk Division (600 employees+).

- Improving the culture and the employee experience.
- Developing and drive the Risk communication & engagement programme including the Diversity and Inclusion agenda.
- Developing and executing a successful reskill plan, succession plans, talent and emerging talents programmes for the function.
- Lead people related activities to support the function whilst supporting functional HR/Property projects.
- Embedding a strong governance framework that ensures that the function and Risk COO adheres to functional responsibilities imposed by the bank.
- Representing the Risk function at senior forums.

**What you’ll bring.**
- Strong people management skills, gained through leading and developing teams dealing with a complex workload. Ability also to leverage in virtual teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to interrupt and evaluate information and make robust, evidenced based recommendations. Able to think strategically and creatively to drive operational excellence.

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Experience managing risk, implementing controls and governance.
- Previous experience in a similar role.

This role is based in Milton Keynes with flexibility working from home.
