**The Work You'll Do**:
As a Senior Business Development Representative at Sovos, you'll be the catalyst that connects innovative compliance solutions with businesses navigating an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. You're not just opening doors—you're introducing organizations to technology that's essential for their survival and growth in the global marketplace.

In this role, you'll leverage AI-powered insights and cutting-edge sales intelligence tools to identify and engage with prospects who need our solutions. Working closely with our global sales team, you'll build meaningful relationships with decision-makers at companies ranging from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises. Your expertise in consultative selling will help organizations understand how Sovos transforms tax compliance from a burden into a competitive advantage.

- More specifically, you will:_

- Drive market demand by strategically prospecting and qualifying opportunities, using data-driven approaches and AI-enhanced tools to identify businesses that would benefit from Sovos' compliance solutions
- Partner with Sales Executives to develop and execute territory strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration that maximizes pipeline development and accelerates deal velocity
- Engage with mid to executive-level contacts at client organizations, demonstrating deep business acumen to articulate how Sovos solutions address critical compliance challenges
- Exceed monthly quotas for appointments and qualified opportunities while maintaining a consultative approach that prioritizes customer success and long-term relationship building
- Innovate and optimize business development processes, leveraging technology and creative strategies to enhance team effectiveness and improve conversion rates
- Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously through our CRM platform, maintaining meticulous pipeline hygiene while advancing prospects through the sales cycle
- Mentor newer team members and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that elevate the entire business development organization

**What We Need From You**

- Track record of exceeding monthly BDR metrics including dials, appointments, and qualified opportunities, with evidence of leadership and mentoring contributions
- 2+ years of software industry experience (SaaS experience preferred) with demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex technology solutions
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and modern sales engagement platforms, with the ability to leverage technology for maximum efficiency
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage confidently with executive-level stakeholders and navigate organizational decision-making processes
- Exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to adapt quickly in conversations and maintain persistence without being pushy
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a growth mindset focused on continuous improvement and personal development
