The Technical Manager has overall responsibility for the technical success of the project. Supports the project manager by providing insight into technical planning and execution issues. Leads the technical team through the entire duration of the project. Acts as the primary technical communications contact for the customer.

The Technical Manager manages and controls the implementation of all project technical aspects (end-to-end) within contractual scope; manages technical solution documents (requirements, architecture, etc.) following contract signature and during execution; manages technical aspects/activities within the project – including requirements, development, integration, and testing; provides status and results to the PM as arranged/requested; serves as the primary customer interface for management aspects related to the technical solution. Responsible for obtaining formal customer sign-off on requirements and technical acceptance of the solution.
