What can you expect in a “Payroll Manager” role with TaskUs:

The Payroll Manager is in charge of processing payroll from start to finish in compliance with local regulation for multiple sites or entities as well as being the lead sponsor for projects related to Payroll as needed.

The Payroll Manager position covers the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

1. Complete Payroll process evaluation and recommendations for improvement.
2. Provide managerial support and guidance for payroll activities.
3. Manage payroll and timekeeping systems.
4. Maintain partnerships with various vendors for payroll, timekeeping, garnishments, and governmental agencies.
5. Solid understanding of employment law, regulatory and legal compliance to address notifications and provide guidance to team of payroll specialists.
6. Completes Payroll reconciliations and designs new reports as needed.
7. Demonstrate positive team performance.
8. Ensure that process service levels are met in accordance with set standards.
9. Ensures that all internal risk and control guidelines are met and executed in every process.
10. Subject matter expert with the ability to apply knowledge of the business to solve strategic payroll issues.
11. Assist in preparation of corporate budgets and annual estimates for salaries and payroll taxes.
12. Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity.
13. Responsible for hiring, determining staffing levels and resource allocation for the Payroll team.
14. Partner with process peers in Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Labor Relations, Corporate Taxes, and related third-party vendors to resolve employee questions/issues.
15. Provide key support to the Finance and Accounting group.
16. Fluency with HR policies pertaining to payroll such as overtime, leave, benefits, employee compensation, health and welfare, and retirement benefit administration.
17. Coach and develop payroll team.
18. Conduct meetings with different level contacts and departments as needed.
19. Manage relations with local Payroll Vendor, bank representative for Payroll Bank account services and government authorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Graduate in Accountancy, Financial Management, or other related courses.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
• Proactive.
• Must be amenable to work on a night shift schedule and on a hybrid set-up (if needed).

Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel:

Remote. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or client engagements, as per business needs.
