Job Description

As a HSEQ Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation, risk assessments, and Safe Systems of Work. You will also be responsible for coordinating HSEQ activities, maintaining ISO 9001, and obtaining environmental and health certifications.

You will participate in external audits, coordinate quality, environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures, and liaise with internal departments and external providers to ensure relevant QSHE training and methodology is maintained.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and implement Safe Systems of Work.
  3. Maintain ISO 9001 and obtain environmental and health certifications.
  4. Participate in external audits and primary contact for liaison with external certification bodies.
  5. C
    1. oordinate, maintain, and implement Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety policies & procedures.
  6. Participate in and lead internal QSHE System audits and ensure internal audit schedule is maintained, including support of internal auditors – training, guidance, etc.
  7. Liaise with internal departments and external providers to ensure relevant QSHE training and methodology is maintained.
  8. Investigate incidents, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions.
  9. Administrator of QSHE platform for Colombia (Entropy).
  10. Implement and interpret new knowledge within the Environmental and Health & Safety field.
  11. Continuous improvement projects.
  12. Collate electricity and water consumption figures and reconcile these against utility bills.
  13. Compile monthly graphs and publish quarterly environmental reports.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Industrial or similar engineering.
  2. Post-graduate studies in Health, Environment, or Safety fields.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in managerial roles in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management within a manufacturing environment.
  4. Experience in carrying out and completing ISO Certification.
  5. A highly organized, quick, and practical professional approach to managing a demanding workload.
  6. Excellent communication skills to influence decision-makers, communicate with internal teams, and promote continuous improvement.
  7. Self-motivated with the ability to show initiative and work to deadlines.
  8. A formal professional qualification in Health and Safety with local Occupational Health License (mandatory).
  9. A good eye for detail and statistics.
