Senior Collections Specialist

Role Overview
As a Mastercard Advanced Collector, you will play a critical role in our mission to enable secure and convenient transactions while safeguarding financial ecosystems. You will join a dynamic team focused on managing and optimizing our collections processes to ensure the smooth operation of our payment network.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track outstanding payments, debts, and delinquent accounts.
- Engage with customers via phone, email, or other communication channels to discuss overdue payments and negotiate repayment plans.
- Work diligently to resolve outstanding balances and bring accounts back to good standing.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and internal policies in the collection process.
- Generate reports and provide regular updates on collection performance and trends to management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while upholding Mastercard's professional standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in collections, credit management, or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve outstanding balances.
- A meticulous approach to record keeping and data accuracy is crucial.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to draw insights from collection data.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the collections field.
- A customer-centric mindset and the ability to handle challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Adaptability and a willingness to adapt to challenging priorities and embrace new technologies and tools.
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
