Strategic Operations Leader for Latin America

Aon is seeking a visionary leader to drive strategic operations across Latin America, focusing on the Andean Subregion (Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Venezuela). As Chief Operating Officer, you will report to the COO for Latin America and the Andean Subregion Head, based in Aon's Bogotá, Colombia office.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute annual operating plans aligned with Aon's long-term operations strategy, in collaboration with the Subregion Executive Committee and Regional ABS team.
  • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and management of operational activities to meet overall strategic objectives set by Subregion/Region and Global teams.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Subregion, ensuring accomplishment of defined KPIs, strategic initiatives, and local/corporate compliance.
  • Manage risk and ensure the principal risks of Aon's business within operations are assessed and effectively mitigated.
  • Lead and coach the team to ensure continual improvement in capability, knowledge, development, and performance.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:




  • 10 years of experience leading teams and delivering impactful solutions for internal and external clients.
  • Advanced or Superior English Skills – speaking, reading, and writing for business.
  • Expertise in operational excellence, transformation, project management, and client service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Success in prioritizing, strategizing, meeting deadlines, and following up on assignments, projects, and responsibilities.
  • Deep connections across partners and industry groups.
  • Motivated to improve performance with an investment mentality.


What We Offer:

Aon offers a competitive salary, estimated to be $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards. Additionally, you will enjoy a dynamic work environment with a focus on work-life balance, inclusive and diverse teams, and opportunities for growth and development.
