At Staff Financial Group, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Douglasville Area. The primary responsibility of this position is to process accounts payable invoices efficiently, ensuring timely payment to our vendors.

Estimated Salary: $52,500 per annum

Job Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Processing: Enter transactions into the accounting software and workflow to the appropriate Project Manager or Controller for coding and timely approval.
  • Verification: Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor pay applications, and other documents and records, resolving any discrepancies identified.
  • Vendor Setup and Compliance: Set up vendors in the accounting software and ensure collection of all compliance documentation.
  • Check Payments and Releases: Prepare check payments of invoices and request interim and conditional lien releases and waivers when appropriate.
  • Retainage and Vendor Relations: Ensure retainage is withheld on subcontractors when necessary and maintain vendor relations and accurate vendor records.
  • 1099 Forms and Reporting: Assist with preparation of 1099 forms and reporting at year-end to ensure timely distribution.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3 years of experience in AP, with construction industry experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as knowledge of accounting software/ERP.
  • Aptitudes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong customer service orientation.
