About World Business Lenders
World Business Lenders is a rapidly growing company that provides short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance department.
This is a key leadership position that requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a critical senior role in the Finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Co-lead and manage accounting department staff and related functions, including accounting for fixed assets, performing loans, non-performing loans, and real estate owned.
- Ensure conformity with accounting standards and best practices in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee the company's ledger and financial accounts, as well as other financial reporting functions.
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of financial statements and related reports.
- Guarantee compliance with all applicable accounting policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls.
- Manage the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.
- Work in collaboration with the Audit Department to oversee monthly close and annual reporting for 1099s and K-1s.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and review and monitor accounts payable aging analysis.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- CPA in active status required.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- Work-related experience required.
- 10-15 years of general accounting experience and demonstrated technical accounting knowledge, ideally in a mortgage or business lending company.
- Experience with Sage GL is preferred. AP experience required.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- High energy, positive attitude, proactive problem solver.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to concisely communicate.
