At ScotiaBank, we're committed to innovation and excellence in our technology operations. We're seeking a talented Senior Manager to contribute to the success of our Technology Operations team.

Purpose

The Senior Manager, Technology Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the execution and delivery of plans and initiatives that support business strategies and objectives. This includes ensuring compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage technology operations programs that meet business goals, with a focus on financial performance, operational risk management, and delivery effectiveness.
  2. Document process flows to identify control points, pain points, and areas for improvement.
  3. Design and implement operation programs that affect technology operations, working with key business, technology, and operational teams.
  4. Manage and continuously improve existing technology programs, keeping senior leaders informed of program statuses.
  5. Develop and produce reporting on program-related KPIs, engaging key stakeholders and senior leadership for analysis and improvement.
  6. Foster a culture that promotes critical thinking, change leadership, and sharing best practices at a global scale.
  7. Direct day-to-day activities in accordance with the Bank's risk culture and relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and organizational knowledge to identify alternative approaches or solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience in business operations, consulting, or a related field.
  3. Experience in financial management in a corporate environment.
  4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  5. An agile mindset with a focus on delivering business value associated with operations transformation.
  6. Strong analytical skills, results orientation, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
