We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Operations Officer to support the development of investment opportunities in the Latin America & Caribbean region.
About the Role:- The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new trends and business models that align with the World Bank's goals, focusing on emerging markets in the tourism, retail, and property sectors.
- The role involves contributing to data analysis and stress-testing various operating models across sectors to generate ideas for new projects, products, and platforms.
- The ideal candidate will support the identification and assessment of impactful investment opportunities based on country and sector strategies and market creation potential.
- This position will also focus on supporting opportunities that promote decarbonization and sustainable water use through green buildings, regenerative agriculture, resource efficiency, and low-carbon construction materials.
- A Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- The successful candidate should have 4-8 years of experience developing solutions for private sector clients in one or more real sector verticals where IFC invests.
- Familiarity with decarbonization and resource efficiency in the real sectors is preferred, along with technical knowledge regarding resource efficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly preferred.
The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000.
