Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Centre Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data centre operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of our data centre infrastructure. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor the data centre network, servers, storage, and other critical infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to system alerts, alarms, service degradation, and incidents, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Process Development: Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensure Service Excellence, including documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, including IT, network, systems, and security, to ensure seamless operation of data centre services.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including internal teams and external service providers.
- Problem-Solving: Identify, prioritize, and resolve technical issues, and maintain a proactive approach to spotting problems and areas for improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in a NOC or call centre environment, with a strong background in IT infrastructure support.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of standard hardware and software, networking protocols, server technologies, and storage systems.
