In this dynamic role as District Area Operations Manager in Medellin, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and administrative tasks of a district or stores, ensuring they meet company targets. Your key responsibilities will include visiting assigned districts and stores regularly, managing inventory and shrinkage, and acting as an intermediary between stores and Store Operations/Merchandising. You will also be responsible for collecting and reviewing weekly store reports, supporting Merchandising in identifying potential for store-to-store transfers, and executing loss prevention management. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring store appearance according to regional guidelines, supporting Store Managers in operational and administrative tasks, coordinating consumables and other necessary materials, and managing and motivating Own Retail employees. You will also be responsible for leading and motivating Store Managers, defining the yearly training calendar for store personnel, providing feedback to direct reports, and fostering their performance development. Furthermore, you will need to provide input to enable Stores to come up with proper forecasts, ensure the achievement of operational retail targets and KPIs, monitor Net Sales and Operational markdowns, and monitor cycle counts, stock takes, shrinkage, and inventory accuracy.

Key Relationships

In this role, you will be working closely with DTC Leaders, Store Leaders, Store Employees, HR Partners, and FLM Colombia. You will need to build strong relationships with these stakeholders to ensure the success of the district or stores. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with them to ensure that all operational and administrative tasks are completed successfully.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of company policies and practices, as well as a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of the retail industry. You will also need to have experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in management. You will also need to have a strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. Additionally, you will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. You will also need to be proficient in various tools and procedures, with a strong competence in a range of areas.
