Role Overview

We are looking for a Latam Cross Functional Engineering Director (SP or RJ) who will lead a team that supports critical facility uptime requirements in the areas of project controls and asset management as well as supplemental engineering site support as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages a cross-functional team providing asset management expertise, project controls expertise as well as escalated site support for critical facility infrastructure when required.
  • Ensures that the team is working safely, effectively, and with high regard to human error avoidance.
  • Provides strategic guidance and direction to drive team results.
  • Leads and implements resources to complete projects as required.
  • Manages the team to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Ensures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecom, Mechanical, or Automation.
  • Fluent English is mandatory; Spanish is a plus.
  • Solid previous experience in leading, inspiring, and developing your team of critical facility subject matter experts.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with assigned site locations.
  • Maintain and improve Continuous Improvement processes and culture.
  • Direct the reporting of key performance indicators.
  • Previous experience in managing critical facility disciplines.
  • Knowledgeable in critical facility engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Technical expertise in critical power and cooling systems, life safety, and environmental compliance.
Additional Details
  • Ability to participate in regular meetings across time zones.
  • Travel 20%.
