Accounts Receivable Specialist

At World Courier Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. As an A/R Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely and efficient manner, while also providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect payments on World Customs Brokerage and World Courier Inc Invoices.
- Collaborate with the Brokerage team to ensure customers' invoices and back-up documentation are sent in a timely manner.
- Generate Debit and Credit Memos where necessary.
- Work closely with internal departments and customers to resolve billing, statement, dispute, and return issues.
- Perform in-depth customer payment analysis to resolve disputed items.
- Review large and high-profile accounts.
- Identify payment discrepancies and initiate dispute resolution processes.
- Maintain frequent contact with internal and external customers to resolve payment, dispute, and return issues.
- Ensure timely processing of requests for customer credit balances.
- Generate reports for internal and external parties.
- Broad training in business administration or similar fields, typically obtained through a two-year degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of SAP and IES systems.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues quickly, problem-solve, and escalate appropriately.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with credit and collection operations procedures, including reconciliation of A/R activity.
- Strong interpersonal, reconciliation, mathematical, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of Microsoft programs, particularly Excel.
- Advanced English communication skills.
The work environment is generally quiet, with occasional periods of moderate noise levels. The physical demands of the job require sedentary activity, including reaching, sitting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, and hearing. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The majority of the time is spent looking directly at a computer, with frequent standing and walking.
