Business Development Manager for Renewable Energy Projects

At TE Connectivity, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating a safer, sustainable, and more connected world.
Job Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing new projects and accounts with EPC, stakeholders, developers, and other key players in the renewable energy market, with a focus on solar projects and battery storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive-level relationships and decision-makers, to position TE Connectivity as a preferred supplier.
- Turn initial PV system conceptual ideas into fully developed optimized EPC/owner designs.
- Prepare or review designs for solar plants (or other renewable projects) to create customized connectivity solutions for large-scale solar installations.
- Independently assess strategic sales, marketing, partnership, and channel partner strategies for growth.
- Research and develop new technology for new product development and stay current on technological developments in the field.
- Actively monitor and maintain KPIs of customer performance relative to supplier standards.
- Proactively promote the value that TE Connectivity brings to customers (with data/results) and work to efficiently service the account.
- Financial tracking and reporting of strategy and business development efforts, regional performance, and business planning results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in solar and renewable energy.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial roles.
- Preferably, technical background with experience in solar and energy storage.
- Strong understanding of products and technologies for commercial or large-scale solar applications.
- In-depth knowledge of solar and BESS equipment and techniques.
- Experience managing project teams, both directly and through matrix organizations.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on listening to customers.
- Working knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices and procedures.
