The Lead Sales Specialist in Genomic Informatics will leverage their extensive knowledge in genomics and informatics to identify and secure opportunities within the Informatics sector. This role involves engaging with potential clients and Illumina team members regarding Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and genomic data analysis solutions, primarily aimed at genetic and clinical research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance customer engagement and drive sales growth of Informatics products by:
- Providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales process, focusing on NGS research data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Consulting with clients on their informatics needs, including hardware and software requirements.
- Delivering comprehensive product demonstrations and proof-of-concept analyses to showcase product relevance.
- Collaborating with third-party vendors to offer integrated solutions that maximize Illumina's value in research and clinical environments.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer success in bioinformatics and NGS data analysis.
- Develop and present both basic and advanced informatics seminars and presentations to clients.
- Act as the regional authority on the Illumina Informatics portfolio, providing training and support to the broader sales organization.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate license renewals and gather feedback for product development.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, both written and verbal.
- Experience in a customer-facing sales role is advantageous.
- Strong technical expertise in clinical informatics and bioinformatics.
- Familiarity with NGS applications and data analysis methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Linux, Python, and API utilization.
- Ability to balance hands-on learning with revenue-generating activities.
