As an HR Specialist for Employee Relations and Compliance at Carlson Wagonlit Travel (Hauptsitz Deutschland) / Cwt Beheermaatschappij B.V. Deutschland, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive workplace culture where all employees are empowered to wow our customers.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in employee relations or generalist capacity, and strong knowledge of local employment law and practices, policies, legal & regulations.
About the RoleThis position requires someone who can interpret legislation and worker's council agreements and apply them to employee relations, as well as provide support in areas such as employee coaching, performance counselling, HR practices and HR policy interpretation.
You will act as a liaison between employer and employee, overseeing employee relations, which involves receiving and effectively handling employee complaints, escalating these complaints to the level of disciplinary or legal action when necessary.
Your responsibilities will also include monitoring grievance procedures, ensuring completion of appropriate documentation to maintain consistency, fairness, and process integrity, and responding to employee policy or misconduct violations and performance improvement needs for routine cases.
Key Responsibilities- Provide guidance on HR processes, coaching skills, and appropriate documentation to managers.
- Update HR-related country policies based on statutory or law changes and internal policy decisions.
- Communicate changes to managers and employees as required and provide counsel to managers on HR policies and practices.
- Maintain country-level HR employment records as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in employee relations or generalist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of local employment law and practices, policies, legal & regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interface effectively with employees and managers.
- Detail-oriented with case management skills and follow-through and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with others in a positive, approachable, and professional manner.
We offer a competitive salary range of approximately €65,000 - €85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as opportunities to develop your career in a dynamic and global company.
