About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Lead to join our team in Spain. As an Operational Excellence Lead, you will be responsible for achieving Operational Excellence (safety, reliability, and efficiency) in our facility, in compliance with all local regulations and IMS rules, in line with the Air Liquide Strategy defined by the main stakeholders.


This is a leadership role that requires a strong understanding of operations and the ability to manage teams and production equipment at a facility level. You will work closely with other teams, including Industrial, Maintenance, SIO Center, BD/Energy teams, IM/EL teams, and HSE teams, to achieve targets at the facility level.


The successful candidate will be responsible for safety performance, reliability, and efficiency. You will ensure the achievement of Safety Performance (Field-Safety, Process-Safety, Cybersecurity) & Security at the facility level, with the support of HSE and Industrial Management teams.


You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong and sustainable safety culture, ensuring efficiency performance at the facility level, in support of the SIO Center, and building and maintaining customer operational relationships.


Additionally, you will approve facility standard operating procedures (SOPs), manage operational transients, and coordinate the capitalization/feedback/lessons-learned loop. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting local issues while operating the plant safely and reliably in specific non-standard modes.


The estimated salary for this role is €70,000 - €90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations in the LI industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of operations and the ability to manage production equipment.
  • Experience with safety performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
