About the Role:
The Assistant Director of Food and Beverage will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the work of employees and managers in the Food and Beverage Division. This includes ensuring exceptional service and attention to guests, as well as controlling labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, and purchasing decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees and managers in multiple Food and Beverage operations and outlets.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, and purchasing decisions.
- Develop and implement effective menu and wine list strategies to ensure excellent product quality at a fair price.
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met, and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Requirements:
- College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years previous experience in multiple food and beverage department head positions.
- Requires a working knowledge of division operations, as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems.
- Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
