Job Description

This position plays a vital role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and meeting contractual obligations. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Invoicing and Payment Processing: Review, process, and code invoices, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Dispute Resolution: Identify and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies, collaborating with vendors to ensure timely payments.
  • Payment Batch Preparation: Prepare and process payment batches (checks, wire transfers, electronic payments) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Vendor Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on vendor performance and payment trends, suggesting cost-saving opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Accounting Knowledge: Proficient in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless transaction processing.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Certifications and Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with certifications such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional being a plus.
