The Amadeus Hospitality Business Intelligence (BI) division is seeking a Manager of Software Quality Assurance to join our BI Technology team. This team is dedicated to developing and maintaining components essential for the Product Development of the Amadeus Hospitality Business Intelligence suite.

With Amadeus' Hotel Business Intelligence Solutions, clients gain a comprehensive view of rate, occupancy, and distribution trends, supported by both historical and predictive data, as well as insights from various competitive sets within their market.

Role Summary:

The Manager of Quality Assurance is responsible for leading a team that ensures the quality of deliverables from the integration testing phase through to production deployment, overseeing the end-to-end testing for large-scale and complex projects, products, or releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and define the overall testing strategy, owning the test plan for each project, product, or release.
  • Develop and maintain a relationship structure between the relevant decision-making levels of both Amadeus and customer organizations involved in testing.
  • Support customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all testing-related matters.
  • Oversee the execution of brush tests.
  • Manage the setup of the test environment during UAT.
  • Monitor the results of test campaigns conducted by Quality/Test Engineers.
  • Provide necessary sign-offs for functional, non-functional, and non-regression validations throughout the lifecycle phases (integration, system, and acceptance).
  • Ensure appropriate sign-off of releases.
  • Track issues and initiate actions to maintain product sustainability.
  • Monitor software quality KPIs across various testing phases.
  • Deliver regular updates to QA, PDEF, and DEV teams regarding quality evolution during testing phases.
  • Accountable for the budget, performance, and outcomes of a medium-sized team or multiple teams, influencing resource allocation, budget planning, and policy development while establishing concrete development plans for team members.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses a mid to long-term vision of the activity and business, influencing departmental strategy based on a comprehensive understanding of the environment.
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy, following management guidance and escalating issues only when necessary.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in the Information Technology sector.
  • At least 2 years in a team leadership or people management role.

Technical Skills:

  • Agile methodologies.
  • SAFE framework.
  • Behavior Driven Development.
  • Best practices across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (requirements, development, quality assurance, release management).
  • Experience with automated testing, including integration into CI/CD pipelines.
