Manager/Senior Manager Corporate Finance (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading the formulation of corporate direct investment strategies for EBF and LAGREEN in Latin America.
  • Reporting regionally to the Regional Head for Latin America and the Caribbean, while functioning under the global Director of Corporate Direct Investments, the Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for:
  • Conducting comprehensive market and sector analyses to define and assess the corporate direct investment landscape for the funds managed by Finance in Motion in Latin America – specifically the eco.business Fund and LAGREEN.
  • Identifying high-potential investees and transactions within EBF's and LAGREEN's target markets.
  • Leading the corporate direct investment team in the region to meet EBF's and LAGREEN's objectives.
  • Overseeing corporate finance transactions in Latin America, collaborating closely with the global corporate finance structuring team, regional origination teams, and internal departments (Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc.), as well as third-party advisors and prospective investee companies.
  • Driving the origination and development of new corporate finance opportunities in alignment with the corporate finance strategy and regional mandates.
  • Establishing market partnerships and initiatives that align with defined corporate direct investment strategies.
  • Innovating new product development and transaction structuring, informed by origination efforts and market partnerships, in collaboration with other internal teams.
  • Monitoring the corporate finance portfolio in Latin America.
  • Contributing to the development of portfolio risk modeling and exposure management frameworks for corporate direct investments, in partnership with other internal departments such as Risk Management.
  • Managing the performance and progress of junior staff.
  • Engaging in targeted policy dialogue with relevant stakeholders in the region.
  • Representing and promoting Finance in Motion at conferences, workshops, and other relevant events.

What we expect:

  • A degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive professional experience in assessing financial institution risks.
  • Willingness to travel to operational countries as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact confidently with various corporate levels and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and oversee projects effectively.
