Role Summary

As a Case Opener, you will play a pivotal role in managing insurance claims from inception to resolution. Your responsibilities will encompass client engagement, evidence collection, and collaboration with legal professionals to ensure effective case handling. Your contributions are vital in pursuing justice and optimizing outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate claims with relevant insurance providers, ensuring precision and promptness.
  • Document and verify all necessary information for claim submissions to streamline the legal process.
  • Conduct initial client interviews to gather critical case details.
  • Maintain accurate records of client information within the firm's case management system.
  • Draft and dispatch Letters of Representation to pertinent parties, including insurers and opposing counsel.
  • Monitor and document responses to Letters of Representation and update case files accordingly.
  • Request and gather necessary evidence, such as video footage and police reports, to support claims.
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive records of all collected evidence for easy access by legal teams.
  • Follow up on liability assessments with insurance adjusters and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate updates regarding liability status to attorneys and provide necessary documentation.
  • Verify insurance policy limits with relevant insurers and ensure accurate documentation in the case management system.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure cohesive case management.
  • Engage with clients, providing updates on their claims and addressing any inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English (C1 - C2 level).
  • Prior experience in a legal environment, particularly in Personal Injury.
  • Understanding of claim initiation and client intake processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
