About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team at Boston Consulting Group in Colombia. As a key member of our BCG X team, you will be responsible for leading advanced analytics projects and developing innovative solutions to drive business growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers to deliver high-impact analytics projects
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to drive business growth and transformation
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and develop tailored analytics solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to drive business impact
  • Manage and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience in advanced analytics or 5+ years of consulting experience
  • PhD or other Advanced degree in a field linked to business analytics, statistics, or a related field
  • Strong record of professional accomplishment and leadership
  • Deep technical and data science expertise, acute strategic and analytical skills, ability to lead and persuade, drive and energy, and desire to work in a project-based environment on strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects and teams
  • Fluency in at least one coding language (Python)
  • Experience in developing advanced analytics solutions in banking a plus
