About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect Lead to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-based data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies such as Snowflake, Informatica Cloud, Coalesce, DBT, Airflow, Oracle, and Python.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Lead the design and development of cloud-based data pipelines, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  2. Data Governance: Champion best practices for data architecture, governance, and security, defining and implementing data quality standards and processes.
  3. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and deploy data pipelines, partner with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  4. Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current on the latest advancements in cloud data technologies and trends, mentoring and guiding junior data architects and engineers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of proven work experience as a Data Architect, with a strong focus on cloud-based platforms.
  • Skills: Fluency in English, proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred), experience with large enterprise systems & solutions, and strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies: Experience in Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Experience with Informatica: Experience in Informatica Cloud or Informatica Power Center.
  • Experience with DBT or Coalesce: Experience in DBT or Coalesce.
