About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist/Principal to join our team at Boston Consulting Group in Bogota, Colombia. As a key member of our BCG X team, you will be responsible for leading advanced analytics projects and developing innovative solutions to drive business growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers to design and implement cutting-edge analytics solutions
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership on advanced analytics and data science topics to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and develop tailored analytics solutions to drive business impact
  • Manage and deliver projects from end-to-end, ensuring timely and high-quality results
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and analytics, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and innovation
Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience in advanced analytics or 5+ years of consulting experience
  • PhD or other Advanced degree in a field linked to business analytics, statistics, or a related field
  • Strong record of professional accomplishment and leadership
  • Deep technical and data science expertise, acute strategic and analytical skills, ability to lead and persuade, drive and energy, and desire to work in a project-based environment on strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects and teams
  • Fluency in at least one coding language (Python)
  • Experience in developing advanced analytics solutions in banking a plus
