Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to assist us in building, running, and improving our data infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud computing, and software development. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data systems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Work with a team to plan, design, and build tools and services that improve our internal data infrastructure platform and the pipelines that feed it using Python, Go, AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Develop monitoring and alerting of our data infrastructure to detect problems.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform ongoing maintenance of our data infrastructure, such as applying upgrades.
  • Collaboration and Support: Assist product developers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers in debugging and triaging production issues.
  • Integration and Deployment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into production systems.
  • Postmortem Reviews: Take part in the postmortem reviews, suggesting ways we can improve the reliability of our platform.
  • Documentation and Automation: Document the actions you take and produce both runbooks and automation to reduce day-to-day toil.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience with AWS services like Redshift, Glue, Sagemaker, etc.
  • Skills: Experience with Data Focused Languages such as Python or SQL, knowledge of ML model training/deployment, knowledge in data analysis algorithms, familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries, experience with MLOps principles, familiarity with orchestration tools, basic knowledge of Golang, Docker, and Kubernetes, familiarity with deployment/provisioning tools.
