About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Architect to join our team at Encora Inc. as a key member of our Data Engineering practice. As a Lead Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge data solutions that drive business results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Architecture and Design: Design and develop scalable, high-quality data architectures that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and collaborate with agile teams to create data solutions that drive business results.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and deploy SSIS packages, create database objects, and optimize data processing systems for enhanced performance and efficiency.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, guiding them in leveraging Big Data technologies to solve unique business challenges.
  • Project Estimation and Planning: Perform estimation and impact analysis for data-related projects, and contribute to business cases.
  • Data Solution Lifecycle: Guide the full data solution project lifecycle, including discovery, requirements analysis, information architecture design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate actively in Agile delivery team ceremonies, such as planning sessions and retrospectives.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with data technology partners/vendors to ensure the delivery of the best-fit solutions to clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Graduates in systems, networks, or related fields with +5 years of experience, and proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and stored procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and experience with Business Intelligence, Analytics, and reporting technologies (e.g., SSAS, PowerBI).
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong knowledge of application capabilities, integration, data design methodologies, and industry best practices, with a customer-centric approach and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Delivery and Leadership: Experience working within an Agile delivery framework (e.g., Scrum, DSDM), and leadership skills with the ability to take a leading technical role in data/analytics projects.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English language skills.
Nice to Have
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Snowflake and real-time data streaming, knowledge of additional data technologies and tools.
