About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development and Client Engagement:

· Identify and pursue group clients that will generate business for the hotel while aligning with overall strategic efforts.

· Negotiate, draft, and finalize group contracts to ensure the hotel meets its budget and revenue objectives.

· Adjust group pricing and propose concessions as necessary to secure group business in alignment with hotel financial targets.

· Utilize various prospecting tools to solicit and secure business for the hotel.

· Leverage company-wide initiatives, sales training, prospecting projects, and client events to drive group business development.

· Follow up on all inquiries and leads, qualifying opportunities to generate group room nights and associated revenue.

· Develop and implement account strategies for assigned market segments to maximize group revenue and achieve budgeted targets.

· Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals through outside sales activities, prospecting calls, site visits, and client entertainment as outlined.

· Identify potential leads for sister properties and the broader company.

Prioritization & Time Management:

· Treat active selling and business development as the primary focus of the role.

· Allocate time and resources effectively based on account potential.

· Schedule activities efficiently and adhere to deadlines.

· Conduct sales calls and trips in a cost-effective manner, complying with established budgets.

· Plan activities in advance and coordinate special events and promotions as required.

Sales Effectiveness:

· Monitor conversion rates to ensure hotel revenue objectives are met.

· Compose clear and impactful sales communications.

· Create a positive impression on clients in both individual and group settings.

· Engage with in-house clients to promote goodwill and encourage repeat business.

· Enhance and apply sales skills in all interactions.

· Achieve high scores in sales evaluations to ensure standards are upheld and sales skills are maximized.

· Collaborate with catering and group managers to cross-sell services where appropriate.

Qualifications:

A four-year college degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.

A minimum of three years of experience in luxury hotel sales is preferred, with a proven sales record being advantageous.
