Job Title: Salesforce Business Solutions Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Business Solutions Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Global Wealth Engineering team, you will be responsible for defining business problems, gathering technical and non-technical information, and providing technical solutions to meet user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Assist the Product Owner/Delivery Manager by conducting research and analysis, and accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes to assist in the resolution of highly complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the needs of the supported Line of Business.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.
  • Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Help analyze current systems to identify opportunities to improve system reliability.
  • Work in a cross-functional Agile team to deliver core business and regulatory solutions.

Requirements:

  • Language fluency in English (B1+) and Spanish.
  • Salesforce or CRM experience (Objects, record types & records).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar degrees.
  • Certification in Business Analyst is a strong plus.
  • 3+ years of experience working with analysis and design of new features.
  • Working knowledge of project management lifecycles and methodologies (including Agile).
  • Advanced knowledge of financial instruments, including market conventions and valuation methods, risk management methodologies and models, including best practices, current and anticipated regulatory requirements, back-office processes, and transaction workflows.
  • End-to-end between Front, Middle, and Back Offices, within at least one financial market area (e.g., foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives) and a very good knowledge of at least one other financial market area.
  • Good understanding of current IT practices, and systems development techniques including requirements specification and testing methodologies, formal and real-time analytical modeling tools, and keeping up to date with rapidly changing technology.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and spoken English to clearly communicate complex issues.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
