About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Practice Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Professional Services organization, you will be responsible for leading and supporting significant customer programs during the solution and pursuit stages.

Your primary focus will be on developing a long-term Professional Services strategy and executing that strategy with our customers. You will be a trusted advisor for our customers, providing guidance on all aspects of business development, deal structuring, deal support, and closure in their accounts.

As a Customer Practice Manager, you will collaborate with our sales and partner teams to develop strong customer and partner relationships. You will also be responsible for driving AWS adoption in a geographic territory and/or for a named set of customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Engagement: Collaborate with AWS sales and partner teams to develop strong customer and partner relationships.
  2. Strategic Alignment: Build strategic alignment with all teams that have a relationship with the customer.
  3. Pipeline Generation and Management: Generate and manage a pipeline of opportunities for our customers.
  4. Opportunity Management: Manage opportunities from initial contact to closure.
  5. Leadership: Lead internal resources from ProServe to be aligned with a holistic strategy.
  6. Business Case Development: Develop solid business cases and close plans.
  7. Customer Relationship Building: Build rapport and earn trust with customers.
Requirements
  1. Technical Expertise: 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
  2. Database Experience: 5+ years of database experience, including SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis.
  3. Consulting Experience: 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
  4. Software Development Experience: 5+ years of software development experience with object-oriented languages.
  5. Cloud Experience: 3+ years of cloud-based solution experience, including AWS or equivalent.
  6. Project Management Experience: 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience.
  7. Education: Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Serverless Distributed Solutions Experience: Experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
