Customer Practice Manager, Professional Services Lead

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is seeking a Customer Practice Manager to lead and/or support significant customer programs during the solution and pursuit stages. This role involves developing a long-term Professional Services strategy and executing it with customers. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor for our customers, responsible for all aspects of business development, deal structuring, deal support, and closure in those accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage customers and collaborate with AWS sales and partner teams to develop strong customer and partner relationships.
- Assess customer marketplace circumstances, organizational readiness, and C-level sponsor willingness to initiate conversations that lead to broader strategic transformation programs.
- Envision and inspire customers to adopt AWS solutions.
- Identify and develop specific opportunities and related business cases.
- Deal shaping, including estimations and deal pricing.
- Contract negotiations and closing.
- Enable cloud transformation by developing long-term cloud strategies with customers.
- Support the commercial relationship by planning and implementing project portfolios.
- Execute contracts as the single point of contact for customer executives.
- Educate customers on AWS services and translate them into clear business value propositions.
- Be an advocate for customers by working with AWS engineering teams to convey partner and enterprise customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
- Oversee the delivery of projects in accounts, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
- 5+ years of database experience (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
- 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
- 5+ years of software development with object-oriented language experience.
- 3+ years of cloud-based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience.
- 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
