Regional Protection Coordinator for Latin America and North Africa

The Danish Refugee Council (Dansk Flygtningehjælp) assists refugees and internally displaced persons across the globe. We provide emergency aid, fight for their rights, and strengthen their opportunity for a brighter future.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting Country Offices in quality protection programming at country level and at regional level.
Main responsibilities include:
- Providing technical guidance and support to ensure the highest level of quality in protection analyses, strategies, and responses
- Leading the development of the Regional Protection strategy and supporting offices to elaborate strategic protection documents, guidelines, advocacy papers, SOPs, capacity-building tools
- Providing inputs and guidance for integrating programs and mainstreaming protection in proposals and interventions
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in at least three components of DRC's protection sector
- Experience working in a regional or global office
- Strong understanding of protection principles and likely protection concerns for the context as well as conflict sensitivity
This position is accompanied, with a small family package included. Salary: $**55,000-$65,000 per year**, depending on qualifications and experience.
