Job Title: Administrative Healthcare Coordinator

Job Description:
As an Administrative Healthcare Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing excellent patient care, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage the appointment booking system to schedule patient visits and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with medical staff to arrange appointments based on availability and urgency.
- Ensure appointment reminders are sent to patients through various communication channels.
- Utilize our electronic medical records (EMR) system to update patient information accurately.
- Proficiently operate office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient data in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process patient payments for medical services, co-pays, and outstanding balances.
- Verify insurance information and collect necessary payments as per the healthcare facility's policies.
- Relay important messages and inquiries from patients to the respective doctors and medical staff.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers for prescription refills, lab results, etc.
- Collaborate with medical staff, nurses, and other administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist in handling administrative tasks, such as managing medical supply inventory and office organization.
- Greet patients warmly and provide them with a positive and caring first impression.
- Answer patient inquiries, address their concerns, and provide information about our services.
Requirements:
- Customer service experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in using office software, EMR systems, and data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical staff.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and handle a busy front desk environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures is desirable.
