Job Description:


As an Administrative Healthcare Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing excellent patient care, and maintaining accurate records.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Efficiently manage the appointment booking system to schedule patient visits and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to arrange appointments based on availability and urgency.
  • Ensure appointment reminders are sent to patients through various communication channels.
  • Utilize our electronic medical records (EMR) system to update patient information accurately.
  • Proficiently operate office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient data in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Process patient payments for medical services, co-pays, and outstanding balances.
  • Verify insurance information and collect necessary payments as per the healthcare facility's policies.
  • Relay important messages and inquiries from patients to the respective doctors and medical staff.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers for prescription refills, lab results, etc.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, nurses, and other administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist in handling administrative tasks, such as managing medical supply inventory and office organization.
  • Greet patients warmly and provide them with a positive and caring first impression.
  • Answer patient inquiries, address their concerns, and provide information about our services.


Requirements:



  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in using office software, EMR systems, and data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical staff.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and handle a busy front desk environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures is desirable.
