About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Sales Professional to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia. This role will involve selling TE's products, systems, or services, providing detailed technical product information, and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territories or accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and meet sales forecasts and key metrics.
  • Develop an understanding of customer positions in the market, their products, points of difference, and competitive landscapes.
  • Generate demand by identifying opportunities within assigned territories by specifying TE products, conducting trainings, technical presentations, and seminars.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with customer stakeholders.
  • Prepare commercial bids/tenders, negotiate contracts, and close agreements, maximizing profits, working together with Business Development Managers (BDMs), Project Managers (PMs), Product Specialists, and application engineers.
  • FOLLOW UP ON CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS, WORKING TOGETHER WITH CUSTOMER CARE, OPERATIONS, AND FINANCE AREAS.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a sales engineer, managing key accounts, selling electrical products in distribution channels, electrical contractors, and utilities.
  • Proven work experience as a Key Account Manager.
  • Solid experience with Salesforce software.
  • Excellent negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills (listening/speaking).
  • Friendly behavior, having the power of persuasion, and ability to assert oneself.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the region, up to 60% of the time.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is COP 27,000,000 - COP 40,000,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and life insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
